Art's, Inspiration and the PCT by Daniel Carmin-Romack

The Art, inspiration, and the PCT is about the author Daniel Carmin-Romack telling us about how he clicked on the website article of outdoors lover and Stephen McMillan and was actually thrilled about it. The article was mainly about where Stephen lived, spent most of his time, and traveled and with who. He was born in Berkeley, California, he had his first one man show when he was only 16. In his senior year of high school his friend John Zalabak, spoke up the idea to walk to L.A that morphed into walking the John Muir Trail. Twenty years later they walked the same trail again. Stephen was also a artist who drew the beautiful nature he sax as he traveled.

                                                                      3 interesting facts
  1. Stephen Mcmillan  was 16 when he had his first one man show.
  2. He took week longs backpacking trips to high Sierra.
  3. How he was to hike the trail while he was still in school.
                                                                      2 interesting facts
  1. How they were still so close after twenty years.
  2. How the pictures were drawn on a copper plate then burned with acid.
                                                                      2 unanswered questions
  1. How long did the Trail last?
  2. What were some of his other paintings?
                                                                          2 words
  1. Backpacking- travel or hike carrying ones belongings in a backpack. This word is important because its basically what both of the men carried with them on their Trail
  2. Aquatint etching- technique that produces a full tonal range and rich texture by drawing and image onto a copper plate, the burning it with acid. This is important cause this what he did to get his beautiful paintings.
                                                                        Connections
The connections I made after reading this article is that maybe one I could go hiking because I love the outdoors to and it could give me a chance to get away from all the negativity in my life and be one with nature.
